Howard County Resource Center slated to host fundraiser golf tournament and raffle
The Howard County Resource Center has announced that they will be hosting a fundraising golf tournament and raffle for a brand new golf cart this June.
The raffle will take place first with the drawing for the raffle to be held on Sunday, June 16. Tickets for the raffle will run $100 a ticket and can be purchased at Howard County Resource's office located at 110 NE 8th St. The winner of the raffle will receive a brand new 2023 Luxury 48V 4P Kandi Kruiser golf cart.
Winner of the raffle does not need to be present at the time of the drawing.
The Howard County Resource Center will also be holding a fundraiser golf tournament on Saturday, June 29 at the Comanche Trail Golf Course. Registration for the tournament will take place at 8:30 a.m. that morning with a shotgun start time slated for 9 a.m.
Fees for the tournament are set for $195 for a three-man team or $65 person. Prizes will be issued to first through third place finishes. First place winners will receive $1,000, second place $600, and third place will receive a payout of $400.
A prize of $25,000 will also be issued to a hole-inone winner as well. Green fees and cart are not included.
Per Howard County Resource Center Executive Director, Diana Martinez, all proceeds from the fundraiser golf tournament and raffle will go straight towards funding so that the center can continue to provide it's many services for the community.
Martinez explained that the Howard County Resource Center is committed to meeting the needs of Big Spring's and Howard County's underprivileged residents by providing financial assistance, career assistance, counseling, neuropsychological services and many more.
