Rosalinda Gonzales

Rosalinda Gonzales, 79, died Monday, April 29, 2024. Vigil service will be at 7:00 PM Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

She was born December 1, 1944, in Big Spring and was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was very devoted to her church and active in participating in Vigils and Rosaries. She was very faithful in visiting the sick in the church. She was a member of the Royal Teens Club, which started in 1959 and lasted a lifetime. She worked for Big Spring Independent School District, at Moss Elementary, for 45 years, retiring in 2015. She enjoyed gardening and yard work.

She is survived by three daughters: Sandra Martinez (Andrew) of Coahoma; Lori Rodriguez (Robert) of Hinesville, Georgia; Teresa Vela of Big Spring; one brother: Mike Zubiate (Irene) of San Antonio; ten grandchildren: Alyssa Rodriguez, Valerie Peters, Robert Rodriguez, Jr, Michael Rodriguez, Michelle Rodriguez, Andrew J. Martinez, Lauren Smith, Arturo Vela, Jr, Bryan Martinez, and Jace Vela; fifteen great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and lifetime friends: Roselia Ramirez, Linda Paredez, and Minga Shokley.

In addition to her parents, Florencia and Eladio Zubiate, she was preceded in death by her husband: Feliciano Gonzales; one son: Miguel Gonzales; and two sisters: Angelita Hernandez and Elodia Holguin.
