Margaret Hull, formally of Fredericks­burg, Texas, died Oct. 2, 2019, in Granbury, Texas, from complicati­ons of Parkinson's disease. She was 93 years old but had been active until the last few years. Born in Abilene, Texas, Jan. 14, 1926, Margaret was the daughter of John Paul Price and Ruth Carr Price. She attended high school in Big Spring, Texas, where she met and married Raymond Hamby on Dec. 14, 1941, in the parsonage of the Methodist Church at Colorado City, Texas. He preceded her in death from a tractor accident in 1975, when Margaret became the matriarch and leader of the Hamby family. She also was preceded by her parents; a sister, Mary Francis Johnson of Midland, Texas; a brother, John Price of Big Spring; and her second husband, Ted Hull of Big Spring.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald Hamby and wife, Kathryn of Rockport, Texas, and Ken Hamby and wife, Marcia of The Woodlands; daughter, Regina Riemondi and husband, Dan of Granbury, Texas; stepson, Danny Hull of Cortez, Colorado; sister, Eleanor Roberts of Longview, Texas; numerous grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

After being a homemaker and stay-at-home mom for over 20 years, Margaret took a new path when she bought and managed very successful­ly for 15 years a women's ready-to-wear shop in Big Spring, eventually opening a second store. She moved closer to her son in Fredericks­burg, Texas, in 2003, where she was active in the Methodist Church, Red Hat Club, Pedernales Creative Arts Associatio­n, Oktober Fest, and a volunteer at Hill Country Hospital. She went to the Granbury area two years ago to be closer to family.

A small memorial service will be held in Fredericks­burg at the United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019. The family would appreciate in lieu of flowers that memorial gifts go to either Fredericks­burg United Methodist Church; Michael J.
