The Howard County Sheriff's Department reported the following activity:
Note – Officials with the Howard County Jail reported having 83 inmates at the time of this report.
• PEDRO HERNANDEZ, 45, was arrested by BSPD on charges of criminal mischief ($750 to $2,500) and assault family violence threat or offensive touch.
• STEVE LOPEZ, 55, was arrested by BSPD on charges of failure to appear/possession of a controlled substance penalty group one (less than one gram), criminal mischief impairment/interruption/divert public water, motion to revoke probation/burglary of habitation, alcohol treatment requirement/escape from custody, harassment of public servant, evading arrest detention, and failure to identify-fugitive from justice.
• MAXWELL DELLMAN PATHION, 50, was arrested by HCSO on a charge of public intoxication.
• KAMERON RAY COKER, 16, was arrested by BSPD on charges of evading arrest detention and theft property (greater than or equal to $30K less than $150K.)
• REBECCA LYNN COMSTOCK, 36, was arrested by BSPD on a charge of public intoxication.
• MAXWELL DELLMAN PATHION, 50, was arrested by HCSO on a charge of public intoxication.

FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL
Flynn V. Long, Jr., 92, died Thursday. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Mount Olive Memorial Park. He will be in state 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM Thursday. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Samuel Marquez, 74, of Big Spring died Monday, August 24, 2020. Graveside services will be at 2:30 PM Thursday at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Jovita G. Jimenez, 76, of Big Spring died Monday, August 24, 2020. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM Thursday with the Vigil Service at 7:30 PM Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:30 PM Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
John Randal Lewis, 61, of Big Spring died Wednesday August 19, 2020. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Valerie Hernandez, 47, of Big Spring died Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Vigil services will be at 7:00 PM Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Family Faith Center.
