BSISD School Board Trustee election to be discussed at next meeting

The Big Spring ISD Board of Trustees will meet in regular session on Thursday at 5:15 p.m. in the high school board room at 707 11th Place.

The meeting will begin with the prayer and pledge followed by public comments.

Once the public comments have concluded the Trustees will move into the Consent Agenda and onto action items.

Any special recognitio­ns will also be presented before the board, by Superinten­dent Jay McWilliams.

As part of the Consent Agenda, the trustees will be looking to approve minutes from the Special Meetings held on August 27 - public hearing and special meeting. The financial reports will also be approved by the Board.

The Trustees will be discussing the School Board Trustee Notice of Election for the November 3, 2020 Election. The trustees election was postponed earlier this year due to the current pandemic.

Trustees will also hear and consider approval of the Synchronou­s and Asynchrono­us Attestatio­n and Plan. Expedited and General State Waivers will also be discussed and possibly approved, in addition thte staff developmen­t minutes.

As part of the Superinten­dent's Report the Trustees will be updated on resignatio­ns and retirement­s, along with informatio­n regarding the upcoming TASA/TASB Convention. The Enrollment Report will also be discussed.
