Texas Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports initiatives to identify, pilot, advocate and scale systemic improvements in public education, “In Texas, a 1 percent undercount in 2020 could result in a federal funding loss of at least $300 million per year over the next decade. The potential funding loss could amount to $3 billion over 10 years for each percent of the population that is not counted.”
