In the most recent rankings released by the Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA), the Coahoma Bulldogettes ranked as the No. 23 team in the 3A Class.

The Bulldogettes are off to an outstanding 10-1 start under Head Coach Jamie Bonner. They are also coming off one of their most impressive wins of the season, a three-game sweep of district rival Reagan County. The Lady Owls scored only 15 points across all three sets as experienced players Kenzi Canales, Julia Cox, and MaKynlee Overton continue led their team.

That trio, along with other Varsity players Isabella Cox, Christian Everett, Zoie Joslin, Madison Rodgers, and Ashley Romero will continue to improve and grow as they dive further into their district schedule.

Coahoma heads to Odessa on Tuesday to play against the Compass Academy Lady Cougars in their second game of district action.

“It’s going to be a tough game, and I’ve told the team there isn’t going to be an easy district game, but we still have to do our job,” Bonner said. “We have to keep the intensity alive and go in there and play hard.”
