Forsan Buffalo Band to be recognized by school board during regular board meeting
The Forsan High School Buffalo Band recently brought home the 2nd Place Silver Trophy from the State UIL Marching Competition in San Antonio, and that achievement will be recognized by the FISD School Board during Monday's school board meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m. and will take place in the Auditorium on the Junior High/High School campus.
After the recognition of the Buffalo Band takes place there will be a moment for public comment allowed. At the conclusion of public comment, the board members will move into discussion and possible action on the external financial auditor's report.
A public hearing focused on the Texas Academic Performance Report including Federal and State Report Cards will be held. Once the public hearing has concluded, the Administrator's Reports will be delivered by the Junior High and High School principals and Superintendent Randy Johnson. Mr. Johnson will present the enrollment report along with future agenda items and an update on the Old Gym (H.D.Smith).
As part of the consent agenda, the school board will look to approve December meeting minutes, monthly financials and Emergency Operations Plan. Also on the agenda is the order of a Trustee Election along with a resolution regarding extension of leave during precautionary exclusion. Personnel matters, including hiring and resignations, as well as Superintendent Current Year Evaluation and contract will be up for discussion.
