Big Spring baseball is still very much alive and well. The Senior League from Big Spring will take part in the Sectional Tournament this Friday, June 25, in New Home. The Senior League is a class of Little League baseball and contains local Howard county players ages 13-16.

This squad includes some outstanding player names you may remember from this previous season of High School baseball. Just some of them are Forsan standout Kevin Kligora. Big Spring Steer pitcher Eli Cobos. Big Spring Steer freshman Samuel Woody and Starting Steer first baseman and freshman Isaiah Diaz. They loaded this team with seasoned talent. This helped them win the District three title quickly earlier this month as they won two games to advance, one by a score of 12 to 6 and another by a blowout score of 15 to 0. Because of the outstanding victory, the team can proceed on to the Sectional tournament in New Home this Friday, June 25. If the club can win this tournament, they will advance on to the Regional game.

The Senior League team is chalked full of accomplished local ballplayers. When this group of athletes is on, they will be exceedingly tough to beat if you can make the trip out to New Home this Friday and watch the guys take the field and try to advance on in the tournament.
