At Crestview Baptist Church, we believe the most fulfilling pursuit of believers is not entertainm­ent, gimmicks, or programs. First Presbyteri­an Church, Big Spring

NOTICE: Music Director Gabe Martinez has announced that Choir practice will start the second week in August for Chancel Choir to begin in September.

SUNDAY

Worship services begin at 10:50 a.m. in the Sanctuary at 8th and Runnels. Lectionary passages for the Eighth Sunday after Pentecost are: Jeremiah 23:1-6; Psalm 23; Mark 6:30-34. Rev. Allen Cross will lead the worship service. The sermon topic is “Shepherd and Flock.” Organist/music director Gabe Martinez provides music for the service.

Sunday School begins at 9:45. Rev. Cross is teaching the Children’s Class. Tom Koger leads the Youth Class, which meets in the Tent Room. The Discovery Class begins a sequel to the previous study, this one entitled Think Like Jesus an also authored by Randy Frazee. The purpose of this study is to help participan­ts answer the question, “What do I believe and why does it matter?” Helen Glass is leading the class.

Sunday morning Take Ten fellowship is in the parlor between Sunday School and worship. Ellen Austin is host for this week.

WEDNESDAY

Women’s Bible Study, a multidenom­inational group, meets in the Theater Room at 10:00 a.m.

The History Lectures, moderated by Nancy Michaelis, are continuing in FPC Theater Room, Noon-1:00 p.m.

Lectionary Bible Study meets in the Library at 5:00 p.m.

THURSDAY

Wednesday, July 21 – Join us ONSITE Wednesday at 7 p.m. For our Man Camp bible study service. Men will meet every 1st & 3rd Wednesdays in the Main Sanctuary. Men will gather in a circle table format and will be challenged as man to recognize and claim the standard of greatness that God has set forth in His Word. Men will learn what it means to be a kingdom man who accepts responsibi­lity for his domain of influence; who lives by kingdom principles; and who devotes his life to advancing God’s kingdom at home, at church and in the world.

Life Church
