Bible Study and Sunday School begin at 9:30 a.m. and we are having class each Sunday morning. Our Sunday Service begins at 10:30 a.m. You can catch us on Facebook Live on our Facebook page. If you are new to the area or haven't been to church before or in a while, please accept this as an invitation to join us this Sunday. Please come and join us.

Our Wednesday evening Lenten Services began Feb. 22 and again on March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 at 7 p.m. We will have a Maundy Thursday/good Friday Service April 7 at 7 p.m. Please come and join us.

The readings for this Sunday are Isaiah 42:14-21, Eph 5:8-14, and John 11:1-45 (46-53). The psalm is Psalm 142.

Dolline Budke will read the scripture readings this week.

Our Wednesday Evening Bible Study is continuing. A meal is served at 5:30 p.m. and our bible study begins at 6 p.m. Please come and join us.

College Baptist Church

College Baptist Church-- March into Spring as we follow the Lion of the tribe of Judah! Praise for moisture in whatever form God sends it. First Presbyteri­an Church

Worship services for March 19 will begin at 10:50 a.m. in the Sanctuary at 8th and Runnels. Organist/ Music Director Gabe Martinez will be leading music this week. This Sunday we continue celebratin­g the season of Lent. The Rev. Allen Cross will be preaching a sermon entitled: Vision and Imaginatio­n Scripture readings for this Sunday are Psalm 23; John 9:1-12; Ephesians 5:8-14.

Adult Sunday School Discovery class is studying “Finding Jesus in the Psalms—a Lenten Journey” written by author Barb Roose.

Two popular weekly events are in full swing each Wednesday. The Women's Bible Study meets in the church library at 10 a.m. and the “History Nerds” video series meets in the theater room at noon. The history series begins a new chapter this week about the excesses of corporate enterprise in America during the Gilded Age (1865-1900) and the reforming responses of the Progressiv­e Era (19001920). These weekly events are open to all the community so be sure to put them on your calendar.

Members and non-members alike are invited to take advantage of the digital spiritual resources available on our website and Facebook page. They include a prayer podcast six days each week, a weekly scripture reading and commentary, a weekly devotional, and a video release of each Sunday's sermon. The sermon is also available in podcast form. All these tools and resources are preparatio­n for the coming Sunday's worship.

Wednesday, March 29-Chosen Generation Youth would like to invite you to their Fundraiser Spaghetti Dinner and Dessert Auction. We will begin at 6 p.m. in the main sanctuary with a spagehetti dinner. Then the auction will take place immediatel­y after. You will have the opportunit­y to choose, bid and take home a variety of delicious desserts. Comanche Trail Park in the Old Settlers Pavilion from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. We will also have family fun games, sports competitio­n everyone can participat­e in and an Easter Egg Hunt for the children. Day3: Closing out this amazing weekend on Sunday, April 9 with three different service times to choose from. We have our 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Services, Children's church is available for all services ages Newborn thru 4th graders. Come on out and Celebrate Resurrecti­on Sunday.
