Eight Big Spring senior student-athletes sign letters of intent

It's official! Eight Big Spring High School seniors will get the opportunit­y to further their academic and athletic careers at the next level/

Family, friends, and coaches gathered Monday to watch the senior studentath­letes sign their letters of intent. The signings were held in the morning and in the afternoon at Big Spring High School.

Morgan Griffith and Camdon Logsdon started things off as both signed their letters in the morning. This upcoming fall, Griffith will attend Augustana College where he received a scholarshi­p for e-sports. Logsdon will attend Dallas Baptist University where he will join their lacrosse team.

In the afternoon, six more seniors signed their letters of intent in the Big

Spring Athletic Training Center. Ellianna Perez and Katelyn Haynie will attend Howard College this fall and be apart of the Howard College Hawk cheer team.

Rounding out the rest of the group were four Big Spring cross country members which included seniors Elaina Arredondo, Isaac Gonzales, Adrian Solis and Jordan Mitchell. Arredondo will attend Amarillo College this fall where she will run cross country for the Badgers.

Gonzales will attend McMurray University in the fall where he run in both cross country and track for the Warhawks. Solis is headed to West Texas A&M were he will also run cross country and track for Buffaloes.

Mitchell will take his talents to Ottawa University where he will run in both cross country and track for the Braves. Congratula­tions to all the seniors that signed their letters of intent and good luck on your future endeavors!
