Clarence "Son" Forman, 73, died Saturday, March 23, 2024. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2 PM Saturday at West Highway 80 Church of Christ.

Clarence was born on May 2, 1950 in Big Spring, TX to Elmira Lane Forman and Willie Forman, Jr. He loved his family and was a very proud Daddy, PawPaw, and Great Grand-PawPaw.

Clarence attended local schools in Big Spring, TX and was a graduate of Sunset Internatio­nal Bible Institute in Lubbock, TX. He proudly and honorably served 3 years in the United States Army and was stationed in South Korea. His rank was E2 Private, and he earned many medals and badges throughout his military career. Over the years Clarence worked for the Railroad and the Fire Department, was a long haul truck driver, and ran his own successful business, "Sonny's Barbecue." The job he did effortless­ly and was most proud of was being a Church of Christ Minister. He loved preaching the word and made a profound impact on the lives of many by doing so.

Clarence enjoyed relaxing, reading his Bible and fishing, and it wasn't unusual to see him riding a bike in the neighborho­od with one of his great grandchild­ren.

He leaves behind those who will cherish his loving memory: daughter: Marlo Bailey and son-in-law Douglas Bailey, Jr. of Big Spring, TX and son: Joey Harris of Dallas, TX; 7 siblings: Willie E.(Gene) Forman of Big Spring, TX, Connie L. Scott of Allen, TX, Billy Jones (Yodit) of Abilene, TX, Mary Taylor of Rockwall, TX, Donny Forman (Wanda) of Anna, TX, Cathy McDuffie (Ronnie) of The Colony, TX, and Carolyn Wallace (Michael) of Wylie TX and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his numerous grandchild­ren, great grandchild­ren and one Aunt.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother: Ronnie Forman, and 1 daughter: Tashanna Forman.

Pallbearer­s will be Xavian Young, Diamond Bailey, Andre Kirkland, Sean Sherman and Pernell Parker. Honorary pallbearer­s include Alexander Blanco, Derritt Barnes, Zay'd Young, Xavian Young, William Young, Javien McCoy, Jasper Bailey, Willie Forman, Donny Forman, Billy Jones, Ronnie McDuffie, Michael Wallace and Ellis Lane.
