Tracy Johnson

-

Tracy Johnson danced her way to heaven on April 22, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones, and boy, did she have a lot of loved ones.

She was born on October 4, 1961 to Lester and Pauline Holmes. She had 9 sisters and 2 brothers, who were all her best friends for life. She grew up around the Grapevine area until making her way to Big Spring in the mid-70s.

She was an excellent cook, and worked in several kitchens throughout her life.

Tracy married Stephen Johnson of Big Spring in August of 1981, and their love story lasted 31 years until his death in December of 2012. They raised 3 children: Kami, Kori, and Steven, and her bonus baby, Jason Holmes, and couldn't have done a better job. She loved her family with all of her being and was a person we all could count on. She brought a calmness and clarity to any problem that bothered us and she will be incredibly missed.

She was the best Mother, Sister, Aunt, Wife and girlfriend you could ever dream of.

Preceding her in the afterlife are her husband, Steve Johnson, her brothers: Micheal and Stephen Holmes, her sisters: Mary, Jo, Linda, and Tina, and her parents, Lester and Pauline.

Left to miss her terribly are her children: Kami Garza and husband, Leon, Kori Schumpert and husband, James, and Steven Johnson and his wife, Jayme, and her sisters: Paula Underwood, Truly Kay Dillinger, Sheri Holmes, Lori Hodges and Jackie Wells.

The ones she loved most, her grandkids, Brett Saucedo and wife, Kim, Micheala Saucedo, Bradlee Saucedo, Dylan, Kayden, Wyatt, Madalyn and Avery Schumpert, Kyleigh and Toby Johnson.

The ones who she loved more than that, her great grand babies: Daylee, Kolter, and Brycson. Rumor has it there may be one more on the way!

The family would like to make a very special thank you to Tracy's boyfriend of 11 years, Aaron Blue Ebert, and his entire family, who not only helped her out of her darkest times but accepted her as their own and treated her like family. They loved her so very much and she loved them even more.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St Jude's Children's hospital or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as these charities were dear to her heart.
