Milton Ray Bluhm, 80, died Saturday, May 4, 2024. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM Tuesday, May 7, 2024 with family receiving friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 8 at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.

Ray was born on July 27, 1943 in Big Spring to Bessie Lorine (Reynolds) Bluhm & Robert Frank Bluhm. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Bobby Bluhm and Bill Bluhm, and nephew Kurt Bluhm. He married Carolyn Gray on April 28, 1972 in Carlsbad, NM. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. He graduated from BSHS and attended Howard College.

Ray had been employed by Mayflower, Merchants, and State National Bank, and retired from Howard County Road and Bridge after 15 years. In addition, he operated a lawn care service. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching and playing golf. His true passion was fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was extremely social and never met a stranger!

Ray is survived by his wife Carolyn Bluhm of Big Spring; 3 children: Shelly Watson (Scott) of Keller, TX, Mitchell Griffin of Big Spring, & Brandi Escanuela (Daniel) of San Antonio; 8 grandchild­ren: Taylor Iltis, Travis Watson, Tristan Griffin, Breeana Matthews, Skylar Griffin, Alexis Scrivner, Kelton Patterson, & Jeremy Hurst; 5 great grandchild­ren: Breckson Iltis, Bently Scrivner, Kingston Scrivner, Joseph Hurst, & Malcom Hurst.
