Nessa Barrett made a quick jump from TikTok stardom to the Billboard charts thanks to darkly alluring breakout alt-pop hits like “la di die” — featuring boyfriend jxdn and co-written and coproduced by his label boss, Travis Barker — and “i hope ur miserable until ur dead,” the latter landing on the Hot 100 in August.
