THE AZOFF COMPANY
There is no other music industry dynasty that wields as much influence in as many sectors of the business as Irving and Jeffrey Azoff. “Our goal at The Azoff Company has always been to positively disrupt the music business for both artists and fans,” Jeffrey says. “We are incredibly proud that each one of our companies is fulfilling that mission and are deeply grateful to all of the amazing artists and partners who are a part of our family.” A short list of achievements: Five of the 11 Full Stop acts that were on the road last year — Harry Styles, the Eagles, Dead & Company, John Mayer and Lizzo — placed among Billboard’s top 100 tours of the year and collectively grossed $630 million. At the end of September, Full Stop band U2 christened James Dolan’s Sphere in Las Vegas and is slated to play 40 shows there. Tate McRae achieved her highest chart positions with her 2023 hit, “Greedy,” which reached No. 3 on the Hot 100, topped the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts and led to a performance on Saturday Night Live. A few other wins: Giant Music, the independent label that Irving and former Columbia Records executive Shawn Holiday launched in 2022, released its first music last year, and in January came the announcement that Nate Albert, a veteran A&R executive and former member of
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, had joined Giant as its new president.
Oak View Group, the live-venue development and investment company founded by Irving and current CEO Tim Leiweke, opened seven arenas — five of which it owns and operates — in 2022 and 2023, with Manchester, England’s Co-op Live opening in April. And performance rights organization Global Music Rights turned 10 in 2023, with an invitation-only roster of over 150 artists and 300 publishers.
