Birds & Blooms

One rainy afternoon

- Lauren Slack WATERVILLE, MAINE

in June, a female ruby-throat took a little break from buzzing around the flowers and feeders to perch on the hummingbird swing. She stayed there for some time, and it was fun to grab the camera and capture the moment. I love how fluffed and ruffled her feathers are from the rain.

?? ?? SWING TIME Hang perches, like a hummingbird swing, near sugar-water feeders for hummingbirds to rest.
