If the ground is still frozen, what do robins eat?
Kenn and Kimberly: Although robins are very conspicuous when they go hunting for earthworms on open lawns, worms make up only a small portion of their diet year-round. In winter, flocks of robins seek out small fruits and berries, supplementing them with any insects they find. After the ground thaws in spring, we’ll start to see robins out on those lawns again, running and pausing as they search for earthworms.
