Sometimes the weather

makes it difficult to go to your favorite places to capture all the beauty of winter. But it’s always fun to decorate your own backyard so feathered visitors can come to you. This red-breasted nuthatch was a regular visitor to our feeders. I put a few treats in the pot and it became a sweet place for the bird to come sit and enjoy the warmth of the December sun.
