Flying low

to the ground, an ashthroated flycatcher was foraging for insects in my backyard. These birds don’t need to drink water, but instead get the moisture they need from insects. I sat on the ground for quite a while to capture this image with the bird at eye level, looking right at me. I took the photo with my Canon EOS70D and Sigma lens.
