I’ve always loved birds,

but I just recently took up birding during the COVID-19 quarantine. I took this shot of a male scarlet tanager over Memorial Day weekend near my parents’ log home in northern Michigan. He appeared for only about 15 seconds before disappearing into the woods. I used a Nikon D7000 and a Nikkor 200-500 mm lens to take the picture.
