During the summer,

I was sitting in my backyard and noticed a flash of yellow in the potted red salvia on my patio. I realized it was a male goldfinch pecking at the seeds. My first thought was to scare him away so he would not harm the plant, but instead I grabbed my camera and captured this picture.
