HEATHER VINCI STRIKES a good balance between coffee and the law.

Vinci has her own practice, the Law Office of Heather C. Vinci, PLLC, in which she focuses on juvenile law and criminal defense. And with her husband, she owns the North End Coffeehouse in Yuma.

Vinci has been an attor- ney for nine years, having joined the Arizona State Bar in November 2011.

Vinci also has served as a judge pro tem in the Cocopah Tribal Court and serves now as its presiding judge.

“I began as a pro tem judge in October of 2018. The most memorable professional moment would surely be my promotion in October of 2019 to presiding judge

of the Cocopah Tribal Court.

Meanwhile, Vinci is in her fifth year as president of the Yuma County Bar Association.

Vinci and her husband took over ownership of the North End Coffeehouse on Oct. 1, 2019.

“When it comes to the North End Coffeehouse, I love how it brightens the day. The baristas are all so bubbly and friendly. They can always make you smile and some great beverages.”

As for the future, she sees building both the business and her law practice.

“Maybe a second location for North End Coffeehouse,” she said. “Balance between work and family life has always been something I am cognizant about. The future may hold that, but for now we are still very new to being coffeehouse business owners and want to grow our current businesses.”
