-

The Plymouth High School Swimming and Diving and Plymouth Aquatics Clubs, in association with the annual Blueberry Festival, will host a bicycle tour on Saturday, Aug. 31. Routes will be available covering 31, 41, 62 miles, and a special “family” tour of 16 miles to the Menominee Monument. The tour has won acclaim for being well organized and scenic. Wearing of an approved helmet is mandatory.

ROUTES

Your ride/registration begins at 6 a.m. at Menominee Elementary School, 815 Discovery Lane, Plymouth. The Culver Academies and Culver are on the route with a SAG at the Culver Depot. The Potawatomi Indian tribes populating the region were forcibly relocated to the west by the U.S. government, an event remembered by the statue of Chief Menominee along the route. A SAG will be located on the Menominee grounds.

The cost is $25 per person after Aug. 17. The maximum fee for families (parents & children under 18) is $55. The cost includes refreshments, SAG stops and a map of the route with emergency numbers. Refunds will not be made. Make all checks payable to: Blueberry Festival, PO Box 639, Plymouth.
