2019 Blueberry Queen Abigail Powell
Abigail Powell is the 18-year-old daughter of Brandon and Melea Hoffer of Bourbon.
She has two younger siblings, Ivy and Mitchell.
Powell is a 2019 graduate of Triton Jr./Sr. High School. She will attend Purdue University majoring in agriculture.
At Triton, Powell was a member of Art Club, Science Club, Helping Hands, Anti-Bullying Club, DECA and Triton Senior Leadership Team; president of Spirit Club; secretary of Future Business Leaders; president of FFA; District II FFA president; treasurer of Hoosier Girls State; and Triton’s Distinguished Young Woman. She participated in cheerleading for football and basketball, and track and field her senior year.
Outside of school Powell is a 10-year 4-H member, served on the Marshall County Purdue Extension Board and the Farm Bureau Board. She enjoys watching and playing sports with her family, being active at church and all things agricultural, especially livestock. She likes finding new ways of giving back to her community and doing her best to inspire others.
Powell enjoys attending and participating in the Blueberry Festival parade. Her favorite part of the festival is seeing the community come together to showcase and celebrate Marshall County’s pride and diversity. And the donuts aren’t bad!
