SHARP CUTOUTS

Cutouts in fiberglass leave sharp edges that can induce chafing on hoses and wiring. This shot from a new boat is a prime example of an installation where those positive battery cables are going to have their insulation cut through. A gasket should be applied or the edges ground smooth.
