MANUAL TILT

If the tilt system is inoperative, look for a screw on the side of the engine bracket at the height of the hydraulic reservoir. This is the hydraulic release screw. Unscrew it a turn or two, grab the engine by the gear case, and lift it up. (Know your limit.) Deploy the engine support bracket. If the engine will not lift, you might need to loosen the release screw a bit more.
