Swimming with pigs in The Abacos
All kinds of people, in all corners of the world benefit from owning an Axopar, for a variety of different reasons.
Albury’s Ferry Services recently acquired two Axopars for its busy ferry and charter services in Abacos, Bahamas. Used mainly for luxury, skippered private charters and custom tours, Albury’s are proud to offer their customers both an Axopar 28 and 37 Cabin model, supplied respectively with single and twin 300hp Mercury outboard engines. Popular with tourists, who can now enjoy these waters from the air-conditioned comfort of the enclosed cabins, the Axopar 28 and 37 have both proved a hit with guests of all ages. It means they can arrive at their destination cool, dry and suitably relaxed. Given the high cost of petrol on the islands, being fuel efficient is vital for the business too. The slippery, twin-step design of the hull with its distinctive wave-piercing axe bow is a perfect match for the clean, quiet, economical and commendably smooth-running four-stroke Mercury outboard engines. Marketing Director, Hope Colling, commented, “Our charters are broken down into two categories; simple point-to-point transportation and bespoke adventure tours. These include excursions to remote locations like No Name Cay, for example, home to the famous swimming pigs of Abaco. “Guests can be classified as those who love the boat immediately and those who are slightly dubious... but, once they experience the quality and comfort of the Axopar ride, they too become hooked! “All guests want to experience the beauty of our islands and most want creature comforts when they are on vacation. Our Axopar models deliver every time!”
