Your efforts will be appreciated and rewarded quickly. Your new ideas have merit and should be developed. Venus, the love planet, overtakes Mars on October 5, making it a great day.

TAURUS (APRIL 21 TO MAY 20)

Home, spouse, children, pets and fun are all front and center in your horoscope. Having a good time, family celebrations, games and entertainment should be on your agenda. Good times and good relationships are featured. Your partner will have interesting ideas and want to go to fun events. It’s a time to enjoy yourself!

GEMINI (MAY 21 TO JUNE 20)

It’s a great time to try your hand at an artistic endeavor. Take a class in art, acting or whatever creative outlet appeals to you. Writing is your forte, as is speaking, but you may enjoy adding a new outlet to your list of accomplishments. You should find attending the theater particularly enjoyable during these months. A lively neighbor or sister may like to join you.

CANCER (JUNE 21 TO JULY 22)

Finances seem to be on your mind, and you’ll be happy to know they are favored. There is even the possibility of an inheritance. Changes in your career should also affect your finances in a favorable way. Your chart does show some stress, so try to relax. Wait until the new moon on September 20 if buying new stock, where Cancers usually do very well.

LEO (JULY 23 TO AUGUST 22)

Mercury goes direct September 5 in your sign, giving you a great opportunity to begin almost anything you want. Start a project, a new diet, a class or even buy something you need, and you’ll be pleased by how much you like it—and then add more enthusiasm and energy to it on September 20, the new moon.

VIRGO (AUGUST 23 TO SEPTEMBER 22)

This is a time frame for you to push your agenda both at home and at work. Your ruler Mercury goes direct September 5, making your life much easier. With the new moon on September 20 giving you added energy, it’s a time when things go better. You’re a natural-born hardworking communicator, so pursue what you want, in writing, on September 5 and September 20.

LIBRA (SEPTEMBER 23 TO OCTOBER 22)

Make the most of having Jupiter, the good-luck planet, in your sign. What you start now will be favored for a long time to come. Get your finances in good shape. Make a plan for the next five years. It’s time

to decide what you really want. Joining a new social organization or health club, planning a long trip, buying a vacation home or redecorating the one you have are all possibilities. It’s a time to think big.

SCORPIO (OCTOBER 23 TO NOVEMBER 22) Your ruler Pluto goes direct on September 29 and will make whatever you’ve been working on suddenly go more smoothly. Scorpios can be too self-demanding and push too hard to get things done. You need to relax more and try not to be too stubborn. October will bring a very welcome change as Jupiter moves into Scorpio. Plan to relax and enjoy yourself as you start a fabulous year.

SAGITTARIUS (NOVEMBER 23 TO DECEMBER 21) Things are getting better all the time! You should now have some private troublesome problems solved. Thank heavens! Suddenly you will be able to make plans without worrying. People around you are more willing to help you with whatever you want. You have completed some hard work and will be free to do whatever you jolly well please. That means foreign and domestic travel and spending more time outdoors.

CAPRICORN (DECEMBER 22 TO JANUARY 19) You have entered an important work cycle, both at home and in your career. Since you are one of the best-suited signs of the zodiac to handle this new challenging cycle, you will make the most of it. Look for new career opportunities, or even old ones that you may have rejected. Capricorns enjoy the chance to develop new businesses, or even being the turn-around expert who revitalizes a company and sees innovative ways to do things better, easier and more profitably. You can make things happen when you take charge.

AQUARIUS (JANUARY 20 TO FEBRUARY 18) Your ruler Uranus is now finishing up its transit in Aries. It has been causing you to make decisions, change your mind and then come up with something altogether new. Go slow, although that’s not easy for an Aquarian; take your time and keep thinking. You are the most intelligent and unusual sign of the z odiac—an inventor and new-idea person. It’s very likely you don’t have a complete picture of what’s coming, so it’s probably too soon to make longlasting decisions. Proceed in a sure-footed way.

PISCES (FEBRUARY 19 TO MARCH 20) Your ruler Neptune is in your sign so you will be more drawn to water than usual. Your best vacation is at the beach, or better yet, buy a boat. Think about buying property at the beach, preferably in Florida or the Caribbean, where the weather is warm enough to sail all the time. Water has a calming and healthful effect on you, and you’re not too fond of cold weather. Neptune is also causing your psychic ability is get steadily stronger, so pay more attention to your thoughts. Norma R. Hagan has been an astrologer for more than 50 years.
