A s re­us­able shop­ping bags be­come the norm on Sani­bel Is­land, re­plac­ing dis­pos­able plas­tic, con­sumers have their pick of de­signs—and causes they want to sup­port. At the She Sells Sea Shells store, bags with man­a­tees, dol­phins and beach scenes cost $5, with $1 go­ing to the Sani­bel-Cap­tiva Con­ser­va­tion Foun­da­tion. At Bai­ley’s Gen­eral Store shop­pers re­ceive a re­us­able can­vas tote for a do­na­tion of $10 to Coastal Keep­ers, a branch of the Sani­bel Sea School.
