George Dell Stout

George Dell Stout passed away Friday, May 14, 2021 in Borger, Texas.
He was born on July 13, 1925, in Whitt, Texas, to Robert Perry and Thelma May Stout.
He was raised on a ranch and as a young boy, in Throckmorton, Texas, he attended school and worked as a ranch hand during the Great Depression. World War II took place while he was in school and when he graduated from High School in 1943, he entered the military by joining the United States Navy. In the Navy, he was an electronics tech of that era. He went on to serve in Korea and part of Vietnam. He served aboard various aircraft carriers and on various Naval Air Stations around the world. Mr. Stout retired from the United States Navy in December of 1968 as an AVCM (Master Chief Petty Officer) having served for 22 1/2 years.
In Civilian life he had been employed by American Airline, IT&T, RCA, Westinghouse, NEC America, Intercom and various sub-contractors that provided RF Analog and Digital Transmission equipment maintenance. He also worked on the Dew-Line in the Artic as a radar technician.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 wives: Margaret Ann and Nancy Caroline.
Left behind to cherish his memory is a daughter, Julie Stout of Stinnett; 3 sons: Harold B. Stout and wife Beverly of Vermiilion, Ohio, Greg Stout and wife Marsha of Stinnett and Jeffrey Stout of Sherman, Texas; 7 granddaughters: Tiffany L., Carrie J., Mary R., BrieAnn L., Skyler- Rhayne, Destiny and Faith; 3 grandsons: Jeffrey D. Jr., Jonathan and Zander; 3 great grandsons: Cody, Kit and Noah and 1 great granddaughter, Hannah.
A private family service will be held. Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Stinnett.
