Prock named Grand Marshall of upcoming 95th Borger Birthday Celebration at Museum

-

Dr. Chris Prock will serve as the Grand Marshal of the upcoming Borger 95th Birthday Celebration at the Hutchinson County Historical Museum on Saturday, June 26.

The celebration, including street dance and dedication by local artist Michelle Dubiskas’ will start at 5:45 p.m. at the museum. Chris was born and raised here in Borger.

After attending Oklahoma State University and Parker College of Chiropractic, Chris opened his first chiropractic clinic in the DFW area. The big city life and mindset wasn’t for him, so six years ago, he moved back to his hometown, where he would open up Borger Family Chiropractic.

Having a love for government and the people of Hutchinson county, he decided to run for County Commissioner in 2018.

He is the longestserving commissioner for the county and has loved every bit of it. Along with the typical commissioner duties, he is directly responsible for the infrastructure at the museum and the library.

Chris says, “The Hutchinson County Historical Museum is an incredible place to go and dive into the entire history of the area. Borger has a colorful history that many have never heard or read about, so I always want people to come to see the great stories contained within and see where we have come from these first 95 years. I love this position of commissioner and serving the public even more than I thought I would. I always seek to bring passion to the job and to the people I encounter along the way. Borger has always been special to me, and the people of Hutchinson County are some of the best in the entire country. We rally around each other whenever there is a need, and we see each other as family. It’s a place I look forward to raising a family and can’t wait to see what is in store during Borger’s future as we will soon turn the page toward the next century of existence.”
