Borger News-Herald

Letter to the Editor

-

Dear Editor:

I am Cathie Andress Kimbell and was born and reared in Borger. My father was Barney Andress, owner of Barney’s Pharmacy, and my Mother was Evelyn Andress, who lived in Borger from 1926 until their deaths in 1971 and 1995, respectively. My brother was a dentist there, Dr. J.B. Andress and he and his family lived there many years also.

I was the first Respiratory Therapy Department Head in Borger in 1974-75, and my late husband, Dr. L.M. Kimbell was the Pathologist at Golden Plains Hospital from 1968 until his unfortunate demise in an accident in 1978.

He did his residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital when he assisted with several other doctors working to save our President John F. Kennedy that sad day in Dallas, all of whom were severely warned never to mention any findings.

I have just recently published a book with Harper Collins Christian Publisher and the title is, “Cowboys and Indians and Pegasus Dreams” by Catherine Ann Andress, my maiden name.

I’ve enclosed a direct link below to my book on Amazon which has a write up and my biography on the front if you are interested. There are more typos than I ever thought but the publisher’s blamed it on low staff due to layoffs with Covid.

Thank you and blessings to all,

Cathie Andress Kimbell, ckamarillo@aol.com .—Amazon takes time to populate their database. In the meantime you can send customers the direct link https://www.amazon.com/Cowboys-Indians-Pegasus-Catherine-Andress/ dp/1400331196/
