Coffee and Muffins

My wife and I usually have coffee in the morning together and sometimes we have coffee and special muffins she makes.

We sit outside, weather permitting, beside the house and talk about the day and what we are planning to do or what needs to be done.

My wife has raked up no telling how many little piles of leaves and sticks and then I haul them off. That has been followed by fertilizing and watering and the yard is starting to show some life. That reminds me of something in the Bible. When God created the heavens and the earth and as matter of fact nothing exists that God did not create or allow to come into being, (Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 42:5&12). God stated that it was not good for man to be alone so He created a helper for him, a woman, (Genesis 1:2628, 2:18, 2:21-24).

Being married and having a good wife and children can be a wonderful situation, (Matthew 19:5, Psalm 128:3&4, Proverbs 18:22). But due to the sinfulness of our hearts it may not be a pleasant situation and can be a constant battle, (Proverbs 19:13, Romans 3:23).

What has made our marriage better is that we both accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior about 5 years after we were married, (John 1:12 ). It has given us a new life, with love, joy and peace, (Romans 6:23, Titus 3:5, John 5:24).
