Luetta (Lue) Ball-Holland
Luetta (Lue) Ball-Holland, of Borger, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2022.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, July 7, 2022, in the Minton Memorial Chapel.
Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the funeral home.
Luetta was born on September 24th, 1936, in Branchland West Virginia to Vernice and Thelma (Dillon) Franklin.
Luetta relocated with her family to (Electric City) Borger in 1962, Luetta had been a Borger area resident for 60 years.
Luetta was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church.
Luetta is survived by her four children, her Daughter’s Connie Wagner of Decatur Texas, Sue Winkle and her husband Danny of Amarillo Texas, and Pam Teague and her husband Tim of Borger Texas. One son, Richard Ball and his husband Ernie Frias of Albuquerque New Mexico.
One sister, Barbara Ryan of Enid Oklahoma. Seven Grandchildren, Bobbie Warren and her husband Steve of Decatur Texas, Kevin Winkle and his wife Nikki of Amarillo, Joseph Elsheimer of Borger, Christal Eddins and her husband Calvin of Borger, Mikel Cotton and his wife Kasahra of Kansas, Jennifer Grant and her husband Randy of Amarillo and Shellie Cox and her husband Chris of Borger. Fourteen great grandchildren, Christopher, Timothy, Austin, Anthony, Michael, Joslyn, Jayden, Kenley, Brylee, Logan, Aires, McKenna, Brady, Kyleigh and Bjorn. Five great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Luetta is preceded in death by her Husband Roy T. Holland, her parents, six brothers, Sillmer, Melvin, Zebodious, Carol, David, and Arden Franklin, and four sisters, Ann Franklin, Lucille Lester, Blondie Dobbins and Sharon Louthan-Flowers, and one granddaughter Robin Ball.
Luetta faced many struggles throughout her life, by the grace of God, her amazing strength, and a lot of hard work, she managed to raise her children in difficult circumstances. Luetta was a loving, caring, and generous to a fault, she loved spoiling her grandchildren at Christmas when they were little.
Luetta loved looking for bargains and treasures at Garage sales and Estate sales with her sister Sharon and loved going to the craft shows at the Aluminum Dome in Borger. Luetta collected Angels, bells and Cats, she loved shopping for clothes and jewelry to go with each outfit. Luetta was known for always being dressed to the nines.
Luetta and her sister Sharon were well known at the Cafe’s in Borger. When you saw one the other was not far behind. They were famous for their arguments that were very entertaining and comical for everyone around. They were much more than sisters, they were best Friends, and they were each other’s memory when the other forgot.
Luetta was many things to many people during her life, daughter, sister, aunt, mother-inlaw, grandmother, and friend to name a few. But for her children, she was everything, she was a wonderful Mother who loved her children and was there for them no matter what, we will miss her body, but we will always have her spirit in our hearts and in our memories.
