Local Emergency Planning Committee to meet at the Dome Civic Convention Center
The monthly meeting of the Local Emergency Planning Committee will be held on Tuesday at the Dome Civic and Convention Center located at 1113 Bulldog Blvd, Borger, TX 79007, or by Zoom by logging on to https://txcourts. zoom.us/j/3953812146. The meeting will be held from 12 p.m.-1 p.m.
At the February 28 meeting, Hutchinson County Emergency Coordinator Jerry Langwell discussed emission releases at Tokai and air quality in Hutchinson County following these releases.
Tokai was on hand to answer questions from the committee and the general public.
Tokai EHS Director Long Nguyen and Plant Manager Paul Pittman were on hand to answer questions.
Committee members and the general public asked questions regarding visible emissions from the Tokai plant and a recent permit application by Tokai to TCEQ.
