Mary Elizabeth “Jackie” McKee, 80, passed away Friday,

May 26, 2023 at her home in Borger. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in the Minton Memorial Chapel with Pastor Les Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral

Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2023, at the funeral home. Jackie was born September 20, 1942, in Bolivar, Tennessee to Julian Edmund McKinnie and Dorothy Mayrene Isbell McKinnie. She married Chester

McKee on April 1, 1961, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. The couple moved to Borger in 1963, where they opened Comac Well Service, Inc., a company she continued to lead for more than a decade after Chester’s death. Jackie was a true original. Outgoing and feisty, she always welcomed an opportunity to socialize and would often spark up conversation with strangers wherever she went. She relished a good joke, and her ever-ready laugh was infectious. A simple grocery store trip with her could easily turn into a social event, yielding smiles, new friends, and indelible memories. Jackie had a special passion for animals and a true gift for naming them (Shay-shay, Boojoo, Mercedes, Precious Memories). When it comes to music, there was no bigger fan. One of her favorite things to do on a nice day was to crank up the speakers of her car and belt her favorite tunes while driving around town. She had an insatiable love for life which greatly enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to have known her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and

Dorothy McKinnie; husband, Chester McKee; great granddaughter, Addison Tipton; and brother, Thomas Edmond McKinnie. Survivors include her beloved canine companion, Baby Girl; daughter, Janet Hazlett and husband Alan of Amarillo; son, Michael McKee and wife Shelly of Borger; grandchildren, Brandy Casida and husband David, Scott Hazlett; Lexie White and husband Tony, Aaron McKee, Austin McKee, Ashton McKee; great granddaughters, Lily and Grace; and a host of extended family and friends.
