Some of Bos­ton’s big­gest names turned out for the 5 for El­lie event to ben­e­fit the El­lie Fund at the Fair­mont Co­p­ley Plaza. Five-time Su­per Bowl cham­pion Tom Brady stopped by to take pho­tos and toss a few passes to the evening’s top bidders. The event hon­ored Bos­ton phi­lan­thropist and Burn Later Pro­duc­tions co-founder Sam Slater who re­ceived the Hope Award for his long­time sup­port and ded­i­ca­tion. THE SCENE Guests en­joyed cock­tails, lite bites and a run­way fash­ion show fea­tur­ing WCVB news­women in looks pro­vided by Alice + Olivia and April Soder­strom Jew­elry. THE HIGH­LIGHTS The evening was em­ceed by Paula Faris, ABC’s co-an­chor of GMA: Week­end Edi­tion and co-host of The View. Event spon­sors in­cluded The Slater Foun­da­tion, WCVB, al fresco All Nat­u­ral, and Lightower Fiber Net­works. The El­lie Fund’s 5 for El­lie raised nearly $260,000 for breast cancer pa­tients through event pro­ceeds.
