Midweek Update: • President Obama never attends church on Martha’s Vineyard, but he did tee off yesterday with Jesus Shuttleswo­rth, aka former Celtic Ray Allen. Also in the presidenti­al foursome at Farm Neck: retired baller Alonzo Mourning and frequent Obama golf buddy Cyrus Walker. In case you’re keeping score, that’s the third round of golf in five days for the hacker-in-chief. Apres golf, the president rang up Jimmy Carter to wish him a “full and speedy recovery.” (The ex-prez revealed yesterday that he is battling cancer.) Barry and Michelle then headed out to dinner at Alchemy in Edgartown.

• The Hollywood Vampires, a supergroup that includes “Black Mass” star Johnny Depp, Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry, shock rocker Alice Cooper, Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum, are hitting the road. The group will play the Roxy on Sunset Strip in Hollywood Sept. 16 and 17 followed by a gig during Brazil’s Rock in Rio festival on Sept. 24. The mini-tour follows the release of the band’s debut album on Sept. 11, which features contributi­ons from Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Slash, Joe Walsh and AC/DC’s Brian Johnson.

• Normally media-averse Patriots coach Bill Belichick is on the cover of the new Improper Bostonian, but don’t expect any pearls from the chief about Deflategat­e, Gronk or the team’s prospects with Jimmy Garoppolo under center. Belichick agreed to do his first magazine cover shoot in almost 15 years (he posed near his summer home on Nantucket) if the story would focus on his Bill Belichick Foundation. And only his Bill Belichick Foundation.

• HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” starring the Texans, followed Houston nose tackle Vince Wilfork to the Patriots Super Bowl ring bash last June for an episode that was to air last night. There was a tender scene between Big Vince and ex-boss Bob Kraft, the guy he used to call dad — before the Pats cut him ...
