Cover girl Gisele’s new chapter(s)
How much would you pay for a giant, coffee-table book full of photos of Gisele Bundchen? We’re talking 300 shots, including some nudes. But wait, there’s more! The photos, according to the publisher, are “accompanied by tributes from Gisele’s closest friends, family, and fashion leaders, who shed light on how and why she has become one of the greatest models of all time.”
But wait! You guessed it, there’s still more. There are only 1,000 copies of the book available for sale — and each one is autographed by Mrs. Tom Brady herself. Now what would you pay?
Well, if you’ve got $700 dollars burning a hole in your pocket, you could be one of the proud owners of the limited edition “Gisele Bundchen” book.
That’s right, $700. No wonder Gi was the world’s highest-earning model for the ninth straight year!
Anyway, the book, published by Taschen, a German art book peddler, is to commemorate Gi’s 20th anniversary as a model. It will be released in November and yes, you can preorder it on Taschen.com.
According to the publisher, the book was “personally curated and designed by Gisele” in collaboration with Brazilian-Italian creative director Giovanni Bianco, who has worked with Madonna, Versace, Ferragamo and more.
“From her legendary nude portrait by Irving Penn, chosen as the book’s cover, to iconic shots from such industry luminaries as David LaChapelle, Juergen Teller, Inez & Vinoodh, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott and Corinne Day, it is a unique artistic presentation of the most famous Brazilian export together with Pele and Senna and the highest-earning model in the world,” the publisher said.
And the book apparently also includes some words of wisdom from Gisele herself. A sampling:
• “I can’t get through a day without seeing my kids. When I’m out of town working, I FaceTime them five times a day. They are growing so fast and I don’t want to miss a thing.”
• “One can never have enough dark chocolate. I always tell myself, ‘Just one piece,’ but it never ends up that way.”
• “My golden rule of style is to wear whatever is comfortable — often jeans and a T-shirt. I like to keep it simple and jeans will never go out of style.”
• “My signature scent is lavender essential oil. It helps me to relax.”
• “I always pack sweatpants and a warm scarf in my suitcase. I just love being cozy and warm.”
Now as you can see, observations like that don’t come cheap. But Christmas is coming and wethinks “Gisele Bundchen” is going straight to the top of the Track’s wish list!
