Bay State Tech: You don’t need a degree

-

If you were recently shut out by a tech school closing, and left high and dry, then we have good news: We’re Bay State School of Technology and we can help! The truth is that you don’t need a degree! We can train you to be a well-rounded, wellpaid electronics technician in less than a year, not the two or four years required for an associate or bachelor’s degree. We’ll get you back in the workforce, earning good money in a matter of months, not years.

We specialize in handson training. What you learn in the classroom, you put to use in the lab on the same day. Our programs will teach you about:

• Basic Electricity & Analog Electronics;

• Digital Electronics and Smart Technologies;

• Computer Repair and Networking and much, much more.

And the best part is that no previous experience is required! We’ll give you all the training you need to be back in the workforce in short order. And our program is very affordable, compared to other schools. Bay State School of Technology has only one campus and we keep class sizes small. Instructors and staff are always accessible and responsive to students’ needs. Take a look at Bay State Tech. We’re not a big tech school and proud of it.

Our recent Electronics Technician graduates have gone to work for companies like:

• IBM;

• Magnolia/Best Buy;

• Plainridge Park Casino;

• Ricoh USA;

• AstraZeneca;

• Twin Coast Metrology Numotion.

In addition to Electronics Technician, we also offer other programs as well.

In our Major Appliance/ Basic Electricity course, you’ll learn about electricity and how it works and how to use a multimeter. You’ll learn how to read a wiring diagram and how to use it to diagnose problems in major appliances, refrigeration and HVACR systems and other electro-mechanical applications. You will work on real washers, dryers, dishwashers, microwave ovens and other appliances as you learn how to repair them.

Bay State’s Domestic Refrigeration course covers the concept of refrigeration theory in terms of home refrigerators and air conditioners. You will learn about all the major components of a refrigerator and actually build your own fully functional unit from scratch. In addition, we’ll train you for and administer the Freon Certification test, required when handling refrigerant gases.

HVACR will immerse you in the fields of larger refrigeration and cooling units, electronic controls, ice machines, heat pumps and both Massachusetts Refrigeration and Electrical Codes. HVACR will also introduce you to Ductless Split Air Conditioning systems, which do not require ductwork. You’ll also work in our exclusive Carrier Lab where you’ll be introduced to real Carrier equipment and work on the best air conditioning units.

Your Bay State Tech training will teach you how to go from having a job to having a career. We can teach you to have a productive and rewarding life working as a technician in the major appliance, HVACR or digital electronics field. And there is no prior experience required for any of our programs!
