Hot BC High gets nod on road vs. Boxers

After just missing perfection in Week 2 of our Pickorama, it was a step backward last week.

I matched my loss total of the opening two weeks, losing three games to drop to 24-6 on the season.

Two of the more established programs in state history contributed to the malaise. Marshfield fell to upstart Falmouth in overtime, while Natick could not get its offense going against a solid Wellesley defense.

The third loss came on the notion that Burlington could knock off Middlesex Freedom defending champion Melrose. The price was paid for going against Mike Pedrini, who did everything but sell tickets before the game.
