HVACR industry analysts predict a shortage of approximately 115,000 HVACR technicians by the year 2022, caused by increases in the number of HVACR jobs and industry retirements.

If you’re interested in a new career, in an industry that has jobs going unfilled both now and in the future, you need to consider Bay State School of Technology’s HVACR program. You can go from a dead-end job to a brandnew career in less than one year with our day HVACR program.

Don’t just take our word for it, here’s what the U.S. Department of Labor‘s 2016-17 Occupational Outlook Handbook had to say about HVACR Installers and Repairers:

2015 Median Income: $45,110 per year

Job Growth Outlook: 14 percent — much greater than average

There’s already a shortage of HVACR technicians, and that’s going to grow to become a huge shortage in the next six years.

Bay State’s Domestic Refrigeration course covers the concept of refrigeration theory in terms of home refrigerators and air conditioners. You will learn about all the major components of a refrigerator and actually build your own fully functional unit from scratch. In addition, we’ll train you for and administer the Freon Certification test, required when handling refrigerant gases.

HVACR will immerse you in the fields of larger refrigeration and cooling units, electronic controls, ice machines, heat pumps and both Massachusetts Refrigeration and Electrical Codes. HVACR will also introduce you to Ductless Split Air Conditioning systems, which do not require ductwork.
