‘Fire up the duck boats!’

Here’s what you need to know if you plan to brave the elements and join as many as 1 million fans celebratin­g the New England Patriots’ fifth Super Bowl win at today’s rolling duck boat rally in downtown Boston:

Dress for the weather! The forecast calls for rain and a high of 36 degrees.

Don’t drive! All subway lines will be running at rush-hour service level beginning at 9 a.m. Plan for longer travel times and purchase round-trip tickets in advance to avoid long lines. Government Center Station will be closed from 9:30 a.m. until the end of the parade.

Commuter Rail riders should be prepared for at-capacity parking lots/garages. Arrive early, seek out stations with ample parking, and download the MBTA’s mTicket app to buy tickets in advance.

From the North: Take the Orange Line to State Street Station or Haymarket Station.

From the South: Take the Red Line to Park Street Station.

From the West: Take the Green Line to Park Street Station or Haymarket Station.

From the East: Take the Blue Line to State Street Station.

Parking bans and street closures: Streets along the route and adjoining side streets are closed to traffic and have parking restrictio­ns to allow access for emergency vehicles and space for viewers. Pay attention to posted signs.

Nearest hospital emergency rooms include Massachuse­tts General Hospital, 55 Fruit St., and Tufts Medical Center, 800 Washington St.

For people with disabiliti­es, accessible viewing areas have been set up at Copley Square, next to the Copley MBTA Station elevator, and at City Hall Plaza, next to the Government Center MBTA Station.
