THEY PUT A RING ON IT

... Way back in Sept.!

-

THAT’S A PRINT: There are no doubters at Shields Health Care Group, not when it comes to the New England Patriots. That's why their commercial with Tom Brady, shot way back in September, features the QB's fifth Super Bowl ring.

The 30-second spot, directed by Bobby Farrelly, is a sequel to one featuring Brady that started running in October.

“With Tom Brady and the Patriots, we had a feeling the season would come to a thrilling end, and we sure are glad to have filmed the new ending,” said Shields CEO Tom Shields.

“We couldn't be prouder to partner with Tom Brady — now a five-time Super Bowl champion — and we are privileged Tom chose Shields as one of his only local endorsements in recent years.”

The ad features Brady in a Shields facility lobby being asked to remove any jewelry he may have on — standard preMRI procedure. Brady removes his four Super Bowl rings and when asked if there is anything else, he takes off a fifth ring, noting that he “forgot this one. It's kinda new.” When told that he'll need to get a bigger locker, Brady responds, “Roger that.” Goodell answer?

BOWLED OVER: How many eyes were glued to their sets or devices for Sunday's historic win over the Atlanta Falcons? According to Variety, while Super Bowl LI was the first in history to go into overtime, that didn't spike the ratings.

The big game on Fox drew an average audience of 111.3 million people on its broadcast network, with an average streaming audience of 1.7 million and another 650,000 on Fox Deportes; its household rating was a 45.3.

Last year's ordeal between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos on CBS, pulled in 111.9 million viewers to the network — also shy of the previous year's monster record of 114.4 million viewers on NBC — and an average streaming audience of 1.4 million. YA KILLIN’ ME, KID: Pats fan Mark Wahlberg, 45, attended the game at NRG Stadium in Houston with his wife, Rhea Durham, and their two sons, Michael and Brendan. The family was seen in matching jerseys standing on the field before kickoff, but then Fate threw a duck.

“I had to leave the game early because my youngest son

wasn't feeling well,” Wahlberg posted on Instagram alongside a photo of his family on the field. “Trust me, I would have loved to be at the stadium — but family first. Doesn't mean I don't love my Patriots too!”

GUEST STARS: First out of the gate with late-night appearances, Julian Edelman and coach Bill Belichick on last night's “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

STILL A BOWL: If anyone's asking, Rory, a poodle mix, won MVP (Most Valuable Puppy) during Animal Planet's Puppy Bowl Sunday. Tucker, an Australian shepherd mix, took home the Lombarki trophy.
