OFFENSIVE LINEMEN (13)
David Andrews (signed through 2017): He gets pushed around from time to time but allowed the fewest quarterback disruptions on the line this season. Under-the-radar strong year.
Chris Barker (signed future contract): Finished season on practice squad and will be under team control at least through 2017.
Marcus Cannon (signed through 2021): Cannon's turnaround was as unpredictable as the Patriots' 25-point comeback in Super Bowl LI.
Jamil Douglas (signed future contract): Finished season on practice squad and will be under team control at least through 2017.
Chase Farris (signed future contract): Finished season on practice squad and will be under team control at least through 2017.
Cameron Fleming (restricted free agent): Fleming captured the third tackle job out of camp. They may be happy to keep him, but the Pats will probably try to find a starting-caliber tackle in the draft.
Tre’ Jackson (signed through 2018): Remained on the physically unable to perform list due to offseason knee surgery. He'd be a nice backup guard next season.
Ted Karras (signed through 2019): Karras remains an unknown. Did a nice job but showed his rawness with extended preseason time. Played sparingly due to the health of the depth chart.
Shaq Mason (signed through
2018): Mason took a major step forward this season but still has a lot of room to grow. Once it all clicks, he could be great.
Nate Solder (signed through
2017): Solder had the best season of his career. With one year left on his deal, it's worth wondering if the Patriots look to extend him early.
Joe Thuney (signed through
2019): The third-round pick got off to a roaring start but definitely hit the rookie wall in the second half. He could be in for a big 2017.
Sebastian Vollmer (unrestricted free agent): Vollmer has slimmed down considerably. After multiple hip surgeries, he might be ready to retire.
LaAdrian Waddle (signed through 2017): Led the Pats with 17 healthy scratches. The Pats never needed him in a game, but it was probably disappointing that he couldn't win the third tackle job.
