WIDE RECEIVERS (8)

-

Danny Amendola (signed through 2017): It was a frustrating year for Amendola, who had a limited role after offseason knee and ankle surgeries, but he proved his worth in the Super Bowl. He'll have to restructure again due to his $7.9 million cap hit in 2017, and he knows that.

Julian Edelman (signed through 2017): The offense ran through Edelman after Rob Gronkowski went down, and he responded admirably. Edelman is a true No. 1 receiver.

Michael Floyd (unrestricted free agent): Floyd did some nice things in his short time with the Pats, but don't expect them to overreach to keep him.

Chris Hogan (signed through 2018): The Patriots nailed this signing. Hogan didn't always have monster stats, but he was consistently reliable.

Devin Lucien (signed future contract): Finished season on practice squad and will be under team control at least through 2017.

Malcolm Mitchell (signed through 2019): Mitchell had one of the best seasons ever for a rookie wideout in the Tom Brady era and proved the Super Bowl stage wasn't too big for him. Pats struck gold in the fourth round.

Matthew Slater (signed through 2017): The best special teamer in the game will almost certainly retire as a Patriot several years down the road.

DeAndrew White (exclusive rights free agent): Finished season on practice squad and hasn't signed a future contract.
