BOYS

1. Cambridge (24-0): The 1-2 punch of Jakigh Dottin and Dimon Carrigan led the Falcons to another Div. 1 state title. 2. Brighton (23-5): Bengals peaked at the right time in coasting to the Div. 2 state championsh­ip. 3. Needham (20-5): Rockets won their first Div. 1 South sectional title and gave Cambridge all it could handle in the state semifinal. 4. BC High (20-3): Season ended a little sooner than the Eagles would have liked, but 20 wins against a solid schedule is nothing to scoff at. 5. Mansfield (23-3): Hornets reached the Div. 1 South final once again before falling to Needham. 6. Franklin (22-3): Panthers broke through by winning a sectional title and made it to the Div. 1 championsh­ip game. 7. Central Catholic (20-6): Fabulous coaching job by Rick Nault in taking an unheralded team and guiding it to the Div. 1 North final. 8. Everett (19-3): Crimson Tide found their road to postseason glory stymied by Central Catholic. 9. Arlington (20-1): Middlesex Liberty champions battled Brighton to the wire in the Div. 2 North sectional semifinals.

10. Lynn Classical (21-4): Youthful Rams blossomed as the season wore on and the momentum carried them to the Div. 2 North final.

GIRLS

1. Braintree (21-5): Wamps knocked off three top-10 teams en route to the Div. 1 state finals. 2. Bishop Feehan (18-3): Shamrocks had the misfortune of facing Braintree in a sectional quarterfin­al.

3. Andover (22-2): Golden Warriors ripped off 22 straight wins before falling to Braintree in the Div. 1 state semifinals.

4. Medfield (23-2): Maggie McCarthy couldn't have picked a better time to reach 1,000 career points — in the Div. 2 state finals.

5. Westford Academy (20-3): Grey Ghosts took the Div. 1 Central title before running into the Springfiel­d Central buzzsaw in the semifinals.

6. Cathedral (19-4): The Div. 4 champion Panthers were so good they could have won the Div. 2 or Div. 3 titles.

7. Woburn (20-4): Life will be a lot more difficult without guard Marissa Gattuso around to run the show. 8. Billerica (17-6): Indians had a solid run to the Div. 1 North final. 9. Newton South (18-5): Veronica Burton gave more than one coach sleepless nights worrying how to defend her. 10. Archbishop Williams (23-4): Bishops back in their accustomed spot atop Div. 3.
