A Southboro man’s family have put out a plea after he went missing following Wednesday night’s Boston Celtics game, and police are gathering video surveillance footage from the area.

Michael Kelleher, 23, attended the game at TD Garden and left around 9 p.m., according to authorities. The game ended around 10 pm. He has not been seen since.

His mother, Lori Tavella Kelleher, told the Herald she was speaking to detectives last night and that she wanted to get the word out to as many people as possible that her son was missing. She added that he tried to get an Uber three times near Paul Revere Park, which is across the harbor from the Garden.

“Please help find him,” she said via text, adding later: “Someone must know something! Please come home Michael!”

Earlier, she posted a plea on her Facebook page, and said she believed her son was drunk and had not met up with a coworker after the Celtics game for a ride. Michael Kelleher has not used his credit or debit cards since the game, according to the post.

“I’m heartbroken, exhausted and so scared for my son,” his mother wrote in the post, which has been shared more than 100 times.

Michael Kelleher —who is 6 foot 2 with brown hair and blue eyes — was last seen wearing a Celtics hat and jersey, brown pants and a gray jersey, according to authorities.

Boston detectives have started gathering video surveillance footage from the area in order to assist in the search, according to authorities.
